CarHop is adding a Service Advisor in our Springfield Missouri location.

Qualifications:
  • ASE Certification required (minimum of 2 current certifications preferred).
  • 3+ years experience is a must but 5+ year is preferred in a dealership or independent repair environment.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics, safety systems, and drivability issues.
  • Excellent communication skills—must be able to translate complex repair needs into easy-to-understand terms.
  • Must have basic computer knowledge and be comfortable with using different online systems to assist in repairs you may not be an expert with.
  • Negotiation skills when handling/working with shops and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review technician notes, diagnostic findings, and repair recommendations.
  • Prioritize safety and drivability issues from multi-point inspections and estimates.
  • Help verify proper warranty and non-warranty covered repairs on both company and customer vehicles.
  • Maintain department standards, expectations, and company core values.
  • Provide support for the Sales and Finance teams when needed.
  • Able to work with fellow Service Advisors and collaborate with one and other on direction/outcome on specific repair estimates.
